A message to Mr. Garcia
Today in class we read it A Message to Mr.Garcia. I think the most relevant thing that stood out to me was the need for someone who was dedicated to a task. To me, it seemed that the author was trying to convey a lack of people who were willing to work without question. Many people looked for work but were unwilling to put in the to a task. The letter in this story is a significant document needs to be crossed through enemy lines. It was a grueling task but without complaint, Rowan completed it and without objection to authority. The latter part of the story is about people who do not dedicate themselves fully to their work. Including the frustration of the Hubbert to people in society who do not pull their weight. I have appreciated the frustration of Hubbard but empathize with the people found in the story.
